Assad Meets with Iranian Foreign Minister

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad emphasized the importance of support from allies and friends in the fight against terrorism in Syria during a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. This was reported by the Syrian leader's office.

"The Syrian people have been able to withstand terrorism in all forms over the past years and are now more determined than ever to uproot it," said Assad.

Earlier, Fars news agency reported that Araghchi, who arrived in Damascus against the backdrop of increased terrorist activity in Syria, met with President Bashar al-Assad.
