We Must Be Prepared for a Nuclear Strike: Vucic
The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, has expressed dissatisfaction with the military and state bodies' readiness to accommodate citizens in bomb shelters, emphasizing the urgent need to prepare for the consequences of a potential nuclear strike.
“The first report I received from our state enterprises about how many people we can accommodate in shelters that could withstand a nuclear attack at any moment is very sad, and we need to take significant steps quickly,” Vucic highlighted during an interview on Pink television.
“My forecasts are that everything happening will increasingly spiral out of control; any statement can be interpreted in various ways, but in any case, this does not contribute to de-escalation, and I fear it might lead to a larger-scale conflict,” stated the Serbian leader.
On November 20, following an extraordinary meeting of the Security Council, Vucic emphasized that the leadership of Serbia will do everything possible to ensure the safety of the country's residents in the current complex geopolitical conditions.
