These Cars and the Incident Have No Connection to Me or My Family: Armen Pambukhchyan
Yerevan Deputy Mayor Armen Pambukhchyan has commented on his Facebook page regarding the incident involving two Lexus vehicles that were set on fire in a garage on Nor Aresh 44 street on November 24. He stated, “For several days now, certain media outlets have been exploiting the incident to portray it as an attack directed against me. Some are attempting to make political capital out of it. I had decided not to address the lies that have been circulated about me recently, but I realized that our society needs to know the truth.
The two vehicles in question belong to a relative of my driver, who has been living in the United States for many years and has been sending cars to Armenia for sale over the past year and a half. They are registered in my driver’s name. Regarding the incident, I want to inform you that both my driver and his mother have given testimonies about the case, and as the police have already stated, there is an arrested individual related to the matter.
I also want to clarify that all assets and vehicles belonging to me and my family are declared openly and transparently. Now and in the past, I have not owned any property registered under someone else’s name, and I am completely opposed to such practices, which do not align with our adopted values. I state responsibly that these vehicles and the incident have no connection to me or my family members.”
