Narek Mkrtchyan - Champion of the Youth European Championship

Narek Mkrtchyan has become the champion of the European Weightlifting Championship for under-20s.

The 81 kg lifter, a member of the Armenian youth weightlifting team, won a gold medal at the U20 European Championship taking place in Poland with a total lift of 341 kg (150 + 191 kg).

According to the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, Mkrtchyan achieved a result of 150 kg in the snatch event, earning a small bronze medal in this category with three successful attempts. In the clean and jerk event, he also successfully completed all attempts, lifting 191 kg and securing a small gold medal.
