British Prime Minister Urges Iran to Refrain from Attacking Israel

The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, has had a phone conversation with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, urging him to refrain from attacking Israel. Starmer emphasized to Pezeshkian that war in the Middle East does not serve the interests of any party involved.
He also expressed deep concern over the prevailing situation in the Middle East and called on all parties to de-escalate tensions to avoid further regional confrontations.
In response, Pezeshkian stated that punishing the aggressor is considered a legitimate right of states and a means to halt crimes and aggressive policies, as reported by the press service of the Iranian president.
