Fire Erupts in Residential Area of Yerevan, Causing Damage to Property and Household Items
On August 9, at 10:49 AM, the National Crisis Management Center received a report of smoke coming from one of the apartments in building 33 on Orbeli Street in Yerevan. Four firefighting units from the Yerevan Rescue Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, emergency operational groups, and a fire truck were dispatched to the scene.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that the fire broke out in an apartment on the 4th floor (approximately 50 square meters). The fire was contained by 11:22 AM and extinguished by 11:51 AM. Property and household items were burned in the apartment, and the apartment walls, doors of neighboring apartments, and the entrance areas of the 4th and 5th floors were charred. Rescue teams evacuated two residents from neighboring apartments.
