Gas Cylinder Leak Causes Fire Eruption
The Ministry of Emergency Situations’ rescue service reports that on August 7, at 11:49 AM, the National Crisis Management Center received a call about a fire that broke out on the balcony of an apartment located on the 4th floor of a building on Bagratuniants Avenue in Yerevan.
Two fire rescue teams and one aerial ladder from the Ministry of Emergency Situations' Yerevan Fire Department were dispatched to the scene.
It was discovered that a gas cylinder (5 kg) had leaked on the open balcony, leading to the fire's eruption. The fire was isolated at 12:08 PM and extinguished by 12:28 PM. The leaked gas from the cylinder ignited, damaging the balcony's storage unit and scorching the walls of the master bedroom and balcony.
