Children Injured in a Hit-and-Run Accident in Vedi
On August 4th, at approximately 5:00 PM, a car of the brand "VAZ 2107" hit two children in Vanadzor village, Ararat region of Armenia. The victims, 14-year-old Arsen S. and 8-year-old Ruben Kh., are residents of the same village, according to shamshyan.com.
The children were riding a bicycle, with the 14-year-old operating it while the 8-year-old sat at the back.
Initially, the children were taken to the Vedi Medical Center and later transferred to the "Surb Astvatsamayr" Medical Center in Yerevan. In a conversation with Sputnik Armenia, a spokesperson for the Surb Astvatsamayr Medical Center reported that the 14-year-old was admitted in serious condition with consciousness disturbances.
“Currently, his condition is stable. The 8-year-old has been admitted in moderate condition. At this moment, the child’s condition is satisfactory. The children are under medical supervision,” the spokesperson stated.
A criminal investigation has been initiated by the Vedi Investigative Department regarding the hit-and-run incident.
