Israeli Army to Launch Decisive Operations: Halevi

The head of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) General Herzi Halevi visited the city of Majdal Shams in the Golan Heights yesterday following a recent shelling incident. During his visit, he met with local authorities and attributed the attack to the Shiite organization Hezbollah.

“We know exactly where the missile was launched from. We have confirmation that it was a Falaq missile with a 53 kg warhead. This is a Hezbollah missile,” the general stated.

According to Halevi, the IDF is currently preparing for a new phase of military operations in the north and is aware of “how to strike even from far away from the state of Israel.” He added that the Israeli army will commence decisive actions at the necessary moment.

It is noteworthy that on July 27, the Israeli-controlled Golan Heights were subjected to shelling, resulting in injury to over 30 people, including children playing in Majdal Shams city’s playground. The Israeli Defense Forces declared that the missile was fired by Hezbollah from southern Lebanon.

IDF official spokesperson Daniel Hagari reported that the strike was executed using an Iranian Falaq-1 missile. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has promised that this attack will not go unanswered.
