Olaf Scholz to Run for German Chancellor Position Again

The Chancellor of Germany, Olaf Scholz, has announced that he will once again run for the position of head of the German government in the 2025 elections.

“The SPD is a very united party,” said Scholz to reporters. He stated that the Social Democrats intend to win in the 2025 federal elections. “And I will put forward my candidacy for the chancellorship…” Scholz declared.

The next elections for the Bundestag (Germany's parliament) will take place in 2025. The results will form a new government and elect a new chancellor.
