Our Hope is Armenia's Political Wisdom: Peskov

Russia considers Armenia a brotherly country and hopes that it will not choose the path that Ukraine once took. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, as reported by TASS.

The Kremlin respects the expansion of Armenia's cooperation with the EU but hopes that it does not harm the development of relations between Moscow and Yerevan. Peskov commented today on the EU's decision to provide Armenia with 10 million euros in military-technical assistance.

“Our hope is Armenia's political wisdom. We respect such searches and do not wish for these quests to be carried out in the same manner as the Kyiv regime once did, that is, based on the 'either-or' principle. The lack of an alternative political vision is not what we would like to see,” Peskov stated.

“Armenia is a sovereign country, and it chooses its priority paths for cooperation. The Republic of Armenia is our ally, a brotherly nation. We would not want its searches to lead it down the path that the Kyiv regime once took,” Peskov added.

“Russia intends to develop relations with Armenia,” Peskov announced.
