According to these sources, representatives from Biden's campaign have been invited by Senate Democratic Majority Leader Chuck Schumer for an "honest, candid conversation" on the matter.

In turn, the Axios portal reports that Schumer is privately signaling to donors that he is "open" to considering another candidate to represent the Democratic Party in the elections instead of Biden.
