Arush Arushanyan Receives Iranian Consul

The Mayor of Goris, Arush Arushanyan, today received the Consul of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Morteza Abedi Varameni. This was reported by the Goris Municipality.

Mayor Arushanyan and Morteza Abedi Varameni exchanged ideas on organizing joint cultural events, particularly festivals. Both sides emphasized the importance of such initiatives in strengthening the friendship between the two peoples and deepening mutual recognition.

The meeting also discussed the idea of establishing a sister city relationship between Goris and one of the Iranian cities. Arushanyan and Varameni expressed hope that it would soon be possible to carry out the necessary procedures and officially cement the warm relations established between the two cities.
