Collision Between Mercedes and Opel on Dilijan-Vanadzor Road Leaves Injured, Including Minors
On July 4, a major traffic accident occurred in the Tavush region. At approximately 09:40, on the 2nd kilometer section of the Dilijan-Vanadzor highway, a collision took place between a Mercedes and an Opel vehicle under still unknown circumstances, as reported by Shamshyan.com.
As a result of the accident, six individuals were injured, including two children. They were transported to the 'Dilijan' Medical Center by emergency doctors who arrived on the scene from the Dilijan Medical Center.
The medical team provided first aid to the injured at the scene before their transfer to the hospital. A firefighting squad from the Ministry of Internal Affairs' Dilijan Fire and Rescue Service, consisting of one firefighting unit, also arrived at the scene.
The firefighters disconnected the vehicles from power, closed the gas cylinder, and maintained a presence in the area. An investigation into the accident has been initiated by the Dilijan investigative department, where the identities of the drivers and the injured are being clarified. Due to the collision, the road has been reduced to one-way traffic.
