Collision Between Opel and Mercedes-Benz on Yerevan-Meghri Highway Leaves Injured
On July 2, at 1:32 PM, information was received by the Crisis Management Center of the Ararat Regional Rescue Department regarding a traffic accident on the Yerevan-Artashat highway, near the bridge in Artashat town. There were reports of injuries and a gas leak.
A fire-rescue team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene. It was determined that on the 28th kilometer of the Yerevan-Meghri highway, vehicles identified as an Opel (driver A. G., born in 1995) and a Mercedes-Benz (driver H. H., born in 1974) had collided.
Before the arrival of the rescuers, two passengers from the Mercedes-Benz, E. S. (born in 2002) and M. T. (born in 2003), were hospitalized, where doctors assessed their health condition as satisfactory. Rescuers disconnected the vehicles from power, closed the gas cylinder valves, carried out washing work on the road, and transported the vehicles using a tow truck.
