Heavy Rains and Floods in Switzerland and Italy, There Are Victims
In southern Switzerland and northern Italy, heavy rains have caused floods and landslides, resulting in the deaths of four people, with one person reported missing.
Authorities have reported that due to the disaster, roads in both countries are closed, bridges have been partially destroyed, and some areas are inaccessible to transportation. Several settlements have been cut off from the outside world due to overflowing rivers, strong winds, and landslides. The Ron River has overflowed, flooding a highway and a railway line.
Rescue operations are underway in the disaster zone, and dozens of people have been evacuated.
