Teen Driver Hits Pedestrian with Mercedes in Yerevan, Victim Dies in Hospital

A fatal accident occurred yesterday in Yerevan, as reported by Shamshyan.com. Around 8:10 PM, a 17-year-old resident of Yerevan, identified as Davit G., struck a pedestrian while driving a Mercedes with Georgian license plates on Vilnius Street. The pedestrian, a 76-year-old local named Hovhannes I., was injured in the incident.

The driver did not flee the scene and called for an ambulance. Medical personnel transported the victim to the Surb Grigor Lusavorich Medical Center. However, the hospital later informed the police department of Nor Nork that the victim had died without regaining consciousness.

A criminal investigation has been initiated regarding the incident. The driver underwent a sobriety test at the scene, which confirmed he was sober. Following an investigator's directive, the vehicle has been moved to a secured area of the police headquarters in Yerevan.
