Explosion in Turkey's Torbalı City: 4 Dead, 35 Injured

An explosion has rocked the city of Torbalı in Turkey's Izmir province. This information has been reported by the NTV television channel. Preliminary reports indicate that a gas leak was the cause of the explosion.

The explosion occurred at a confectionery-cafe on Barisha Mancho Street in Torbalı at approximately 3:00 PM local time. As a result of the incident, at least 3 people were initially reported dead, with many others injured.

Later reports confirmed that the blast from a gas pipe resulted in the deaths of 4 individuals, with an additional 35 people sustaining injuries. The explosion also damaged 11 buildings in the surrounding area. Turkey's Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya stated that an investigation has been launched into the explosion.
