The US and Turkey Plan to Sign Agreements Worth $40 Billion

The SelectUSA Investment Summit took place at the Turkish Embassy in Washington, attended by Turkish Ambassador Sedat Onal, US Consul General in Istanbul Julie Eadeh, Assistant Deputy Secretary for International Trade at the US Department of Commerce Diana Farrell, and Jennifer Miller, Vice President for Middle East, Central Asia, and Turkey Affairs at the US Chamber of Commerce, along with several business leaders.

The ambassador noted that Turkey and the US share a common vision regarding the prosperity and well-being of both nations, and politically, the two countries are in a good era.

According to Miller, there are over 2,000 American companies operating in Turkey, and there is a desire for more Turkish companies to invest in the United States. Miller also mentioned that among the issues on the agenda between the US and Turkey is the signing of agreements worth $40 billion in the aerospace and defense sectors.
