India Values Armenia's Strategic Position, Says External Affairs Minister

India values Armenia's strategic position, as it lies between Europe and the East, thus allowing for the establishment of good relations between the two countries. This was stated by India's External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar during a meeting with journalists from Eurasian countries who were visiting India.

According to him, there are numerous opportunities to develop mutually beneficial ties in various sectors including economic, cultural, and political.

The Indian Foreign Minister also discussed the implementation of logistical megaprojects, noting that in recent decades there have been numerous changes that have created opportunities to open new transportation and logistical corridors.

“There is much discussion about the North-South transport corridor, which plays a significant role for many countries, particularly the Chabahar port. Additionally, the Central Asian corridor is also being considered as an alternative route. There will be other alternative options because the previous corridors were established 8-9 decades ago, and their resources and capabilities have diminished,” emphasized the Indian External Affairs Minister.
