Two Inmates Swallow Metal Fragments at Vanadzor Penitentiary

According to Shamshyan.com, an extraordinary incident occurred in the Lori region today, June 24. Around 08:40, a report was received at the Lori regional police department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs from the Vanadzor medical center, stating that an emergency medical team had transported two inmates from the Vanadzor penitentiary to the center.

Police have identified the individuals taken to the hospital as 27-year-old Aren Harutyunyan and 28-year-old Artyom Ghazaryan, both inmates of the specified correctional facility. They reportedly swallowed metal fragments (a bolt and nut) in protest against their treatment regarding a legal case.
