VIDEO: Turkish and Georgian Fans Clash Ahead of Euro 2024 Match

Fans of the national teams of Georgia and Turkey clashed in the stadium before the kickoff of the UEFA European Championship.

The Turkish fans were located outside the goal area, while the Georgian fans were positioned nearby. Some fans jumped from their seats and started fighting. Both sides also threw foreign objects at each other across the stands.

The first match of the group stage will take place in Dortmund, starting at 20:00 Yerevan time. This is the first time the Georgian national team has qualified for the final stage of the European Championship.

A total of 24 national teams are participating in the championship, divided into 6 groups. The top two teams from each group, along with the four best third-place teams, will advance to the Round of 16, with the decisive match taking place in Berlin on July 14. The current champion of Europe is the Italian national team.
