Russian President Vladimir Putin is confident about Russia's victory in Ukraine. He made this statement during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, as reported by a correspondent from "Ленты.ру."

Putin discussed the possibility of negotiations with the Ukrainian side with the forum moderator Sergey Karaganov, noting the necessity of reaching agreements and conditions that would align with Russia's interests and be as reliable as possible.

"As one of the former leaders of a significant European country told me, all these agreements can be based either on the grounds of military defeat or victory. We are, of course, striving and will achieve victory," Putin stated.

Earlier, the Kremlin announced that there were no preconditions for negotiations between Moscow and Kyiv. According to Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov, each new delivery of weapons to Ukraine brings the region's tensions to a new level.
