VIDEO: Nikol Pashinyan Hints at Leaving CSTO
The Prime Minister of Armenia addressed the topic of the CSTO in parliament. Nikol Pashinyan hinted that Armenia might leave the CSTO. He stated that previous Armenian administrations had entered into a "bubble alliance," which turned out not to protect Armenia but to plan a war against it.
“Are you trying to scare us by saying we will leave? We are fine, and we will decide when to leave. So what do you think the next step should be? Are we supposed to go backward? There is no other way,” he said.
The Prime Minister assured that if the Civil Contract party were not in power, Armenia would be a colony today. “We can confidently say today that Armenian citizens can sleep peacefully, and tomorrow there will be no disaster. I came here and said our state is in danger, and now I’m asking, where are you going, and we are almost there. We are moving towards a real Armenia, a sovereign, peaceful, secure Armenia with defined borders,” emphasized Pashinyan.
