Stoltenberg Proposes Allocating 40 Billion Euros Annually to Ukraine
The NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has called for an annual allocation of 40 billion euros to Ukraine, suggesting that such funding should be made mandatory. This was reported by Reuters.
According to the NATO chief, member countries have already provided Ukraine with the same amount annually for the past two years. Therefore, it is necessary to 'maintain support at least at the same level for as long as needed.'
Stoltenberg also proposed establishing a mandatory procedure for these payments and distributing the annual funds among alliance members to ensure that financial support for Ukraine is consistent and predictable.
Earlier, Reuters, citing a diplomatic source, reported that Stoltenberg intends to ask NATO allies to allocate 40 billion euros yearly to aid Ukraine.
