Will the Minister of Internal Affairs Resign? 'Hraparak'
'Hraparak' newspaper writes: 'We asked Deputy Minister Arpine Sargsyan, who presented during yesterday's budget discussions in the National Assembly instead of Minister of Internal Affairs Vahe Ghazaryan, whether she came to the Parliament from the Ministry of Internal Affairs. If so, how did she break through the ranks of those participating in the sacred struggle, who had blocked the Ministry’s building since early morning demanding to meet with Vahe Ghazaryan? By the way, this is precisely the reason why the Minister did not come to the Parliament, although it had been previously planned that the head of the system would present their report. Arpine Sargsyan replied that she had exited from the Ministry’s building. How? Through the back entrance? 'There is no back entrance, there is only one entrance,' replied the official who accompanied the deputy minister. In reality, the deputy minister exited from the back entrance, which is why nobody noticed her. The same method could have been used by Minister Vahe Ghazaryan, but he preferred to avoid coming to the National Assembly for this reason. Either his days are indeed numbered, and he is leaving the system, or he is truly affected by recent events, particularly regarding the surrender of land from his native Tavush region. According to some reports, he has attempted to submit his resignation several times but has been persuaded to back away from that intention by Prime Minister Pashinyan. However, there are rumors that Pashinyan is also inclined to replace him, with discussions about a future position as the head of the State Protection Service, which is tantamount to resignation. It is known that the police's violent actions are coordinated by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan, Police Chief Aram Hovhannisyan, and Commander of the Internal Troops Hayk Babayan. Is it true that you are coordinating the brutalities against participants of anti-government protests? In response to this question, Sargsyan dismissed it by saying, 'I do not answer baseless rumors.' What is baseless, that you are leading or that there are no brutalities? The question went unanswered.'
