U.S. Considering Allowing Ukraine to Strike Russian Territory with American Weapons

The Biden administration is discussing the possibility of allowing Ukraine to use American weapons to strike Russian territories, according to Politico, citing its sources.

As noted in the article, the discussions indicate that Joe Biden and his team are "more concerned about Kyiv's ability to repel Russian attacks, especially the recent assault" in the Kharkiv region.

At the same time, an internal Ukrainian government document obtained by the publication indicates that the restrictions set by the United States significantly diminish the effectiveness of partner support.

On Wednesday, Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated that while the United States does not encourage strikes beyond Ukrainian borders, it acknowledges Ukraine's right to make independent decisions regarding self-defense. Blinken added that the United States will ensure that Ukraine has the necessary resources to do so.
