The U.S. is Building a Factory to Produce 155mm Shells for Ukraine

A new factory for the production of components for 155mm artillery shells has opened in Texas, USA. This was announced during a virtual press conference for reporters by John Kirby, the strategic communications coordinator for the National Security Council at the White House.

According to him, the opening of the new factory will "significantly increase the production capabilities of artillery munitions," which is of "huge importance" for Ukraine.

Earlier, U.S. Army Chief of Staff General Randy George stated during hearings at the Senate Appropriations Committee that the U.S. expects to triple the production of 155mm artillery shells by early 2026, reaching up to 100,000 units.
