The Armed Forces Are Prepared to Fulfill Their Assigned Tasks in Tavush: Chief of Staff
The Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia are stationed in designated areas and are executing their assigned tasks. This statement was made by the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Edward Asryan, during a briefing with journalists at the National Assembly, without responding to the question of whether Armenian troops have withdrawn from the territories ceded to Azerbaijan in Tavush.
“We have various infrastructures in every operational direction for the implementation of Armed Forces tasks. The border troops in that area (the Baghanis-Berkaber section of Tavush) are carrying out their assigned tasks,” said Asryan.
He emphasized that where border troops are carrying out service, it is also within the responsibility zone of the army, where the army is prepared to carry out defense. “Yes, the border guards are on duty at the border, but in those directions, the Armed Forces have regular units that are ready to carry out their assigned tasks,” stated the Chief of Staff.
