Video: Glowing Object Observed Flying Over Iran-Iraq Border

A video of a glowing flying object has been circulating on Iranian social media, first spotted over the city of Ahvaz in the southwestern Khuzestan province, which borders Iraq. This information comes from RIA Novosti.

The posts featuring the video have emerged amid rising tensions in the region, following attacks on the Iranian consulate in Damascus by the Israeli Air Force on Monday, according to Syria's Ministry of Defense. The consulate building also housed the residence of Iran's ambassador to the Arab Republic, Hosein Akbari, who was unharmed.

“Two videos from the skies over Ahvaz and inside Iraqi territory near Khuzestan: No explanations have been published yet regarding the nature of this object,” reads a message from the Jamaran agency’s Telegram channel, the only official news agency to have published the video of the object.

Earlier, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi stated that Israel would pay a high price for the attack.
