Video: Strong Earthquakes Registered in Taiwan, Casualties Reported
Strong earthquakes measuring 7.5 and 6.6 magnitude were recorded off the eastern coast of Taiwan on April 3. Reports indicate that 4 people have died and 97 others have been injured.
Local media reports that there have been power outages and building collapses across Taiwan, with residents also complaining about issues related to 5G connectivity.
The tremors were also felt in Japan’s Okinawa and Miyako islands. Japan's Meteorological Agency has warned of a tsunami threat of up to 3 meters. After the initial earthquakes, over 40 aftershocks have been recorded, some reaching up to 6.5 in magnitude.
