Video: Ferry Caught Fire in Thailand with Hundreds Aboard

This morning at 7 AM local time, a fire broke out on the Ko Jaroen 2 ferry. At that time, the ferry was between the islands of Tao and Koh Phangan. The blaze started in the engine compartment.

There were 97 passengers and 11 crew members on board. Rescuers quickly evacuated everyone to the shore. Some individuals inhaled smoke and sustained minor injuries, but no one was seriously hurt.

According to reports from SHOT, eyewitnesses stated that there were tourists from Ukraine on board.
