Video: Israelis Enter 'Cows' Garden' Accompanied by Police, Scuffles Occur

Julya

Today, Israelis entered 'Cows' Garden' with the support of the police. The initiative 'Save the Armenian Quarter of Jerusalem' reports this on their page. The information is conveyed by Sputnik Armenia.

In the released video, an Armenian youth narrates that the police acted unlawfully, coming without a court order and without prior warning to remove the installed barriers. 'Although a month ago, the police chief stated that they could not carry out any actions in this area without a court order, today they came accompanied by 20-30 police officers and illegally removed the barriers,' notes Sedrak Balayan, a representative of the Israeli community.

Another young man calls on Armenian communities from various countries to unite and raise their voices in protest before their governments to exert pressure on the Israeli government regarding this issue. 'We demand that the police stay away from the Armenian quarter, which has been Armenian for more than 1600 years,' emphasizes the youth.

They highlight that the Armenian community of Jerusalem will continue their struggle for the preservation of the Armenian quarter.

Sedrak Balayan also published another video on his page, showing that a scuffle occurred between representatives of the Armenian community in Jerusalem, including clergy, and the Israelis who invaded the area along with police.
