Russian Tourist Boat Sank
The Martini boat, which was carrying Russian tourists, sank yesterday near Phuket island in Thailand. This was reported by the local tourism police. The information was provided by TASS.
All passengers and crew members of the Martini were rescued. “At the time of the incident, there were six Russians and three Thais on board the motorboat. All tourists were taken by the Panwa princess, which arrived at the scene, and afterwards they were transferred to a hotel. No one was injured as a result of the incident,” the police clarified.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the boat sank due to water intrusion in the engine room. The investigation has focused on the improper operation of the Martini, as there was no mechanic on board.
