Major Accident in Vayots Dzor: 7 Injured

A major traffic accident occurred today in the Vayots Dzor region. Around 10:30 AM, on the 144 km section of the Yerevan-Meghri highway, in the administrative area of Vayk, two pairs of vehicles, a Mitsubishi and a Renault, as well as a Volvo and a VAZ 2102, collided head-on under still unknown circumstances.

According to Shamshyan.com, as a result of the accident, 7 individuals with varying degrees of bodily injuries were transported to the Vayk Medical Center. Medical personnel provided first aid on-site before the injured were taken to the hospital.

A criminal investigation has been initiated by the investigative department concerning the accident, where the identities of the drivers and the injured passengers are being determined.
