Nearly 150 Vehicles in Line at the Poland-Kaliningrad Border
At the Mamonoovo 2 multi-lane automobile checkpoint located at the border between Russia's Kaliningrad region and Poland, the queue has reached 150 vehicles, with more cars continuing to approach. This information was reported by the press secretary of the Kaliningrad customs, as per RIA Novosti.
On January 6, there were 130 outgoing passenger vehicles at Mamonoovo 2. In the morning, the border side began to receive fewer vehicles, and from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM local time, the Polish authorities did not accept any vehicles at all, according to the customs office.
“In one day, Kaliningrad customs processed 512 vehicles for departure. However, we could have processed 100 to 200 more if the neighboring side worked more efficiently. The queue has grown, with about 150 passenger vehicles waiting at the exit checkpoint from Russia. And more cars continue to approach,” the press secretary stated.
He also emphasized that the queue at Mamonoovo 2 consists solely of passenger vehicles with foreign license plates.
