New Additions to Yerevan Metro

The Yerevan Metro will be augmented with an additional train set on January 15, which will consist of three cars. Babken Sedrakyan, the director of the Yerevan Metro, announced this during today's operational meeting at the Yerevan Municipality.

"Once this train set is deployed, we will no longer have trains standing idle. All will be refurbished and in operation," he stated.

Sedrakyan also reminded that three train sets with three cars each had already been launched previously. He noted that in 2023, a total of 29,587,969 passengers used the metro.
