Roads Closed in Armenia
There are closed roadways in the territory of Armenia. This information has been announced by the emergency service.
Due to road renovation works, the 38-40 km section of the M-6 highway connecting Vanadzor and Alaverdi will be closed for buses and heavy vehicles with trailers or semi-trailers until February 15. An alternative route will operate through the town of Noyemberyan.
The roads leading from the 'Amberd' high mountain meteorological station in the Aragatsotn region to the Amberd fortress and Kariş lake are also closed.
Snowfall is reported in the cities of Jermuk, Charentsavan, and Hrazdan. According to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Russian Emergencies Ministry in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is closed for heavy vehicles.
Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.
