Record Low Temperatures Set in Finland This Winter

A record low temperature of minus 42.1 degrees Celsius has been recorded in Finland this winter, according to the Finnish Meteorological Institute.
The lowest temperature was observed in Lapland. It has been reported that due to severe cold weather, electric and intercity trains have been delayed for the third consecutive day, with delays ranging from 30 minutes to three hours.
The abnormally cold weather persists not only in Finland but also in several regions of Russia during the first days of January.
