Attempted Murder in Vanadzor: Man Stabs Ex-Wife

On January 2, at 5:10 PM, the Vanadzor Medical Center reported to the Ministry of Internal Affairs' operational management center that a 42-year-old woman had been brought in with a "laceration of the chest and cranio-cerebral trauma." This information was provided by the Armenian police.

The operational team that arrived at the hospital learned from the 42-year-old woman from Vanadzor that her ex-husband had stabbed her with a hatchet.

The criminal investigation officers of the Bazum police station determined that during a domestic dispute, a 43-year-old man had threatened her with murder and struck her in the chest with a hatchet, then proceeded to hit her with his feet and hands, causing bodily harm.

The 43-year-old man has been arrested, and an emergency intervention decision has been applied against him. The weapon used in the crime, the hatchet, has been found.

The relevant documents have been sent to the Lori Regional Investigative Department.
