Trains Collide in Indonesia, Casualties Reported

Two trains collided this morning in the West Java province of Indonesia. The carriages overturned, resulting in one fatality and at least 28 injuries. This was reported by RIA Novosti, referencing the Indonesian Tribun portal.
“Of the injured, 24 are receiving treatment at the Chikalenka district hospital, two at the Chikalenka community health center, and two at a local hospital. One person has died,” quoted Bey Mahmudini, the acting governor of West Java.
The official added that the deceased was a member of the crew of one of the trains involved in the accident. Mahmudini stated that the data on casualties and injuries is still being updated. There were 478 people on board the two trains involved in the incident.
