Entrance Ticket to Metsamor Museum was 60 Drams, No One Went There: Pashinyan

We changed our ticket policy this year, which has resulted in a significant increase in our revenues from museum and site visits, approximately 50 percent compared to last year. This was announced today, December 21, during a government meeting by Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, Zhanna Andreasyan.

"In other words, the number of children under 12 visiting our sites has reached around 70,000 at this point. We are still compiling the data, but there is indeed enormous potential," she said.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan recalled that the entrance for children under 12 to museums has been made free: "For others, the price starts from 1,000 drams, while previously it was 100-150 drams."

The minister noted that the entrance ticket to the Metsamor Museum was 60 drams, to which the Prime Minister responded with a laugh: "That's why no one was going there! People say, 'Where can I find 60 drams to buy a ticket?'
