VIDEO: "Calls Were Made from the NSS, and Demands Were Presented" - Head of the Anti-Corruption Committee to Hayk Konjoryan
"I urge you to publicly state who attempted to exert pressure on the Anti-Corruption Committee during your tenure. Have you reported any pressures to the law enforcement agencies, and if not, why?" asked Hayk Konjoryan, a deputy from the ruling party, addressing the head of the Anti-Corruption Committee (whose term ended on November 19), Haykuhi Harutyunyan, who has been nominated for the vacant committee member position.
"Yes, there was a call regarding a specific subject's ethical assessment, from the NSS. I informed about the call and tried to clarify whether someone in the Government was aware of it or not. I must thank that there was an immediate response. The next day, Mr. Aghajanyan even visited the committee, and I presented the case. I reproduce his words: this is unacceptable and intolerable from our side and our political team," said Harutyunyan.
The President of the National Assembly responded, stating that this could serve as the basis for a criminal case.
