Azerbaijan is 'paying': Beglaryan on the resolution prohibiting the US from providing military aid to Azerbaijan
It is gratifying to see that the Senate unanimously passed a bill that removes the authority of the US President to waive Section 907 and provide military assistance to Azerbaijan for at least two years. This was written by Artsakh's former Prime Minister Artak Beglaryan on his microblog on X.
'The first practical price that Azerbaijan is paying for its aggressions and genocide against Armenia and Artsakh,' he noted.
We reported yesterday that on November 16, the US Senate adopted a resolution that prohibits military aid to Azerbaijan. The bill restricts the President from waiving Section 907 of the Freedom Support Act for the next two years, which prohibits the US government from providing direct assistance to the Azerbaijani government.
