Washington to Continue Supporting Yerevan and Baku on Peace Agreement: State Department

The U.S. State Department has declared that the signing of a peace agreement aligns not only with the interests of Armenia and Azerbaijan but also with those of the entire world. Washington will continue to support both Armenia and Azerbaijan in the pursuit of this agreement.

This statement was made by Matthew Miller, the official spokesperson of the U.S. State Department, during a press briefing with reporters. “We continue to believe that it is in the interest of both parties, the region, and also the whole world for the sides to come to a peace agreement. We will continue to advocate for this,” Miller stated, commenting on the cancellation of the planned meeting between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Brussels.

Earlier, Toivo Klaar, the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus, announced that the meeting of the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan would not take place due to time constraints.
