The Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict is Not Resolved, Says Seyran Ohanyan
The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is not resolved, and Azerbaijan has proven this with its actions. This was stated by Seyran Ohanyan, the leader of the "Armenia" faction, during a press briefing in the National Assembly.
According to Ohanyan, this is the opinion of nearly the majority of the Armenian population. The Republic of Azerbaijan has shown that it is not a contract-based state, rejecting all agreements, speaking in the context of power with the Republic of Armenia, and has not resolved the issue by depopulating Artsakh.
“In this context, we must note that our actions aimed at preserving the subjectivity of Artsakh, ensuring the security of its people, and standing guard over the territory of Artsakh have no alternative but negotiations within the existing relevant international framework,” emphasized Ohanyan.
The opposition faction leader indicated that the current authorities have chosen a strategy of completely depopulating Artsakh to resolve the issue. “This is a treacherous stance towards the people of Artsakh and also towards our historical Artsakh territory,” he added.
