Azerbaijan has Restored its Sovereignty, Finding a Solution is Now Easier: Aliyev

We had no intention of continuing the war (on September 19). If we wanted to continue, it is not difficult to guess where we could have stopped if we had decided to stop at all. But we did not do that. This was stated by Aliyev in his speech in Kovsakan (Zangelan).

“We recognize the territorial integrity of Armenia and announce and do this with full responsibility. After the events of September 20, it is time for the teams of Azerbaijan and Armenia to sit together and work on the draft of a peace treaty. I believe that after September 20, when Azerbaijan restored its sovereignty, finding a solution and signing a peace treaty as soon as possible will be easier,” he noted. “What happened in Artsakh is a result of the irresponsible policies of the Armenian Prime Minister and the separatists he sponsored in Artsakh,” he added.
