High-Ranking Officials of CSTO, SCO, and CIS Meet in Beijing

On September 27, a working meeting took place in Beijing between the Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), Imangal Tasmagambetov, the Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Zhang Ming, and the Deputy Secretary General of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Ilhom Nematov.

This information was reported by the CSTO press service, which added that during the meeting, the senior officials from the three leading regional organizations in Eurasia shared their assessments regarding the security and stability situation in their respective areas of responsibility.

“Particular attention was given to practical cooperation in combating terrorism and extremism, the illegal trafficking of drugs, and cross-border crimes, as well as to the development of more active cooperation between the information and forecasting bodies of the three organizations,” the CSTO press service stated in its announcement.
