Azerbaijan Implements Planned Ethnic Cleansing Policy in Nagorno-Karabakh, Ararat Mirzoyan to Canadian Counterpart

On September 27, Armenia's Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan had a phone conversation with Canada's Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly. This was reported by the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the conversation, regional security and stability issues were discussed. Minister Mirzoyan presented the consequences of the aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan against the people of Nagorno-Karabakh on September 19, following the more than 9-month blockade of the Lachin corridor.

Minister Mirzoyan emphasized that Azerbaijan is implementing a planned policy of ethnic cleansing in Nagorno-Karabakh, which, alongside its policy of using force, deserves clear international condemnation.

Discussions were also held regarding issues on the Armenian-Canadian bilateral agenda.
