Collision between Mercedes and '07' in Gegharkunik Province: 1 Dead, 2 Injured

On September 8, a tragic car accident occurred in Gegharkunik Province. At approximately 3:50 PM, vehicles driven by local residents collided on the 34 km section of the Martuni-Vardenis highway. A VAZ 2107 driven by 67-year-old Ruben Z., crashed into a Mercedes driven by 74-year-old Albert K.

According to reports from Shamshyan, as a result of the accident, driver Ruben Z. died at the scene, while Albert K. and his passenger, 38-year-old Eva A. from Gegharkunik Province, were transported with injuries to the Vardenis Medical Center.

The Vardenis Police Department notified the Gegharkunik Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia about the incident. An investigative team, led by the on-duty investigator, arrived on site.

A criminal case has been initiated by the Vardenis Investigative Division concerning the accident. By the investigator's directive, the vehicles have been transferred to the specially guarded area of the Vardenis Police Department.
